In 1959, Sacha Distel accompanied by his band recorded his new songs on board the Caravelle III "Alsace".

For the first time ever and thanks to Air France, this unique performance was made possible on board an aircraft. The Caravelle, chosen for its soundproofing qualities, was transformed into an actual recording studio.
In the cabin, the seats made way for a 200 kg piano!
